The Culture by KRWN DISTRICT: two vintage low profile caps
TL;DR: The Culture is a KRWN DISTRICT release of two vintage low profile caps in washed cotton twill. The Culture Two-Tone is a 6-panel dad cap with a cream crown and a washed indigo visor. The Culture Washed Black is a 5-panel cap with a seamless front and a cream KD monogram. Both cost €49.90, fit roughly 54 to 60 cm with an adjustable strap and brass slide buckle, and will not be restocked.
Most caps arrive looking new and spend a year trying to look like yours. The Culture skips that part.
Two caps. Here is what is in the release, how they differ, and how to wear and care for them.
What is The Culture?
The Culture is a release of two vintage low profile caps by KRWN DISTRICT, the independent cap label founded in 2026 in Germany. Both are cut from vintage washed cotton twill, both are unstructured and sit close to the head, and both have a distressed, frayed visor edge that is there on purpose.
Under the KD monogram on the 5-panel sits one line: built on culture. The idea behind both is the same. They should look found, not bought.
Every KRWN DISTRICT release is limited and never restocked. The Culture is no exception.
The Culture Two-Tone: a vintage dad cap, worn low
The Culture Two-Tone goes back to where cap culture started: the ballpark. A cream crown, a washed indigo visor and "Krwn District" in blue vintage script, tone-matched to the visor. From across the street it reads vintage. Up close, the embroidery and the build are precision work. Low profile by design, quiet by nature.
- Vintage washed cotton twill with a lived-in, sun-faded feel
- Low profile 6-panel dad cap: unstructured crown that sits close to the head
- Distressed, frayed visor edge: every cap fades in its own way
The Culture Washed Black: a 5-panel cap with a seamless front

The Culture Washed Black keeps it to the essentials. Stone-washed black cotton, a cream KD monogram and one quiet statement underneath: built on culture. No seam through the front, nothing loud anywhere. An archive piece that never existed until now.
Why a 5-panel: one uninterrupted front panel means the embroidery sits clean and the profile stays flat, the low profile silhouette that skate and street culture made its own.
- Vintage stone-washed black cotton twill: every piece carries its own fade
- Low profile 5-panel cap with a clean, seamless front panel
- Distressed, frayed visor edge, worn in from day one
6-panel or 5-panel: which one is yours
Take the Two-Tone if you mostly wear neutrals and want the cap to be the one accent of colour. Take the Washed Black if you wear a lot of grey, black and faded denim. Both in washed cotton twill, same price, same size range. The difference is the front, and how loud the colour gets.

The 6-panel dad cap has a seam down the middle of the front and a slightly rounder crown, and cream against indigo reads from across the street. The 5-panel has one uninterrupted front panel and sits flatter. The black disappears into the outfit.

How to wear a low profile cap
Wear it low, brim forward. A low profile cap sits close to the head, so it balances volume elsewhere: a heavy hoodie, a loose jacket, wide denim. With the Two-Tone, keep the rest simple; the Washed Black works over greys, cream and faded denim.
1. The Two-Tone: keep the rest simple
A two-tone cap carries a fit on its own. Washed denim, cream or white layers, nothing competing at head height. The indigo visor already talks to a pair of light jeans.
2. The Washed Black: wear it over everything
A washed black cap works over greys, cream and faded denim. Stone-washed rather than deep black, it sits easier next to worn fabrics than a fresh black cap does.
3. Wear it low
Brim forward, crown pulled down, strap set so the cap sits close without pressing. Pushed back on the head, a low profile cap loses the silhouette that makes it work.
Fit and size
Both caps are one size and fit head circumferences of roughly 54 to 60 cm. The fit is set with an adjustable strap and a brass slide buckle. Low profile means the cap sits close to the head without feeling tight.

Not sure where you land? Measure around the widest part of your head and set the strap so the cap sits close without pressing.
Care: let the wash age
Spot clean it with a damp cloth, keep it out of the washing machine and let it air-dry. The vintage wash, the fading and the frayed visor edge are intentional and will develop further with wear, so care means keeping the cap clean without scrubbing that character back out.
- Spot clean only, with a damp cloth and a little mild soap
- No washing machine, no tumble dryer, no fabric softener
- No bleach, no iron
- Reshape by hand and let it air-dry
- Store it flat or on a cap rack, out of direct sunlight when stored for long periods
Minor colour and stitching variations are part of the washed production process. Full care and textile details are on the care page for The Culture.
FAQ: The Culture
What is The Culture made of?
Vintage washed cotton twill, unstructured and low profile. The Two-Tone is a 6-panel dad cap with a cream crown and a washed indigo visor; the Washed Black is a 5-panel with a seamless front and a cream KD monogram. Both have a distressed, frayed visor edge that is intentional.
What size is The Culture?
One size: it fits head circumferences of roughly 54 to 60 cm, set with an adjustable strap and a brass slide buckle. Low profile means it sits close to the head without feeling tight. Measure around the widest part of your head to see where you land.
6-panel or 5-panel: what is the difference?
The 6-panel dad cap has a seam down the middle of the front and a slightly rounder crown. The 5-panel has one uninterrupted front panel, so the embroidery sits clean and the profile stays flatter. Both are low profile and unstructured.
How do I care for The Culture?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Do not machine wash and skip the fabric softener. Reshape by hand and let it air-dry: the wash and the frayed visor edge are meant to age, not to be scrubbed back.
Will The Culture be restocked?
No. The Culture is a one-time, limited release with no restock: once a wash sells through, it is gone. That applies to both caps, The Culture Two-Tone and The Culture Washed Black, and to every KRWN DISTRICT release. Each one is limited, never restocked and a closed chapter.
